Ruben on the freedom and own projects within Fendix

Why do I work at Fendix? That can't be summed up in a few sentences, but I'm going to try anyway.

At Fendix, I am not only involved in the day-to-day operations, as I initially expected, but also in the strategic and tactical aspects of the company. Everyone is actively involved in new projects, and management does not focus exclusively on hard numbers. We form a group of like minded individuals who not only love their work, but also enjoy informal activities such as bear pong during drinks and impromptu table tennis (since we don't have an official table tennis table).

So how does that work in my work?

How does that work? When I am working on a side project, such as rethinking our branding, I begin my research on the Internet. I gather relevant information, document my ideas and add images to clarify my views. Once I feel I have gathered enough material for my sprint, I organize my thoughts and ask a colleague if I can present or explain my findings. Wouter often takes the time to listen to me, and by explaining my ideas to him, I get a clearer picture of what I actually want to communicate, and I immediately receive valuable feedback on my thoughts and arguments.

These spontaneous interactions allow for rapid project progress, and the flexibility, speed and critical thinking that I personally value fit seamlessly with Fendix's culture. In the more creative aspects of our work, I can receive immediate feedback on my ideas and the underlying arguments, allowing us to work efficiently and purposefully.
