Just over a year ago, Sam joined Fendix. Since then, he's become a lead auditor, bought his own place in Arnhem, and is (and remains) the first to cheer whenever a social gathering is announced. Time for a spotlight.

What did the year look like in brief?

Sam joined as a consultant just over a year ago. In his first few months, he guided implementations for clients across diverse sectors, from healthcare institutions to IT service providers. He also conducted audits for organizations, learning something new each time about how different corporate cultures approach information security.

In the past year, he completed client projects for DroneStars and Andri (AI), and is now working with Tim on two major projects for Noabij (healthcare) and Peka (production). This perfectly suits his preference for diversity. But his personal highlight was achieving the lead auditor qualification, already in his first year. This is not standard in our sector; it typically requires more than two years of experience.

Sam speaks

His first year at Fendix has flown by. What he hadn't quite expected beforehand was how enjoyable it is to get a glimpse behind the scenes at different companies. Every implementation and audit feels different: a different culture, different challenges, different questions. That's how you grow quickly.

Sam himself says:

'Of course, a personal highlight was my Lead Auditor title. A great milestone I'm proud of. But what truly made this year special were my colleagues. The atmosphere in the office, being with clients, and if you know me at all, the outings I love to be a part of. Here's to the next year!'

What does Sam do outside of work?

Sam hails from Loo and is quite active in his free time. For instance, this past Ascension Day, he was strutting his stuff as a left-winger during the corporate football tournament. He recently bought a place in Arnhem with his girlfriend and is now scouring all the home furnishing stores across the country. He secretly relishes this kind of weekly schedule.
