At Fendix, we believe that work should provide energy instead of costs. That only works if you work with colleagues who are honest, open and involved, and that is the case with us. Today, we're putting one of them in the limelight: our own “Renter”.

Why he's called “Rentenaar”

No, Rentenaar is of course not his first name. But when he started at Fendix, someone with the same first name was already working: Ruben den Dulk. To avoid confusion and just for fun, he quickly got this nickname. In football, he was also always called that. And it has now stuck.

An unexpected switch

Rentenaar joined Fendix as an Information Security Consultant. But after a few months, he noticed that the work gave him less energy than hoped. Instead of resigning himself to that, he decided to start the conversation. Because he knew one thing for sure: marketing had always been his interest.

When he shared this with our CEO Wouter, there was no hesitation or long consideration. Wouter simply said: “Then you're going to do that anyway!”

The power of a combination role

Since then, Rentenaar has had a combination role within Fendix: Awareness & Marketing Specialist. By combining marketing with information security awareness, he has a nice combination of strategy and content.

As responsible for our marketing strategy, social media and campaigns, he ensures that Fendix as a brand is visible and recognisable. At the same time, he helps organizations raise information security awareness with various services, such as Guardey.
