Energy and passions outside of work

Football is his biggest passion, PSV, of course, and sitting still is not for him. Running, 100+ kilometers of cycling and padel, he does it all with full dedication.

In November, Gijs also started a two-week training as a reservist at Defence. Then, in his spare time, he can be called up for short assignments. We think it's important that colleagues have this freedom so that personal passions can grow alongside work.

Growth at Fendix

His journey at Fendix began in January 2023, while studying Communication. For his thesis project, he developed an online communication strategy and was then offered a job with us. Gijs has now been working as an Information Security Consultant for over 2.5 years. He himself calls it “bizarre” how big the team has become.

Gijs' unique combination role

His interest in marketing never disappeared. That is why a unique combination role was created: consultancy and marketing. Half of the week, Gijs advises customers; the other half, he uses his creativity as a marketing specialist. And then there's the “ads” side. In this way, he combines analytical acuity with creative talents.

Calm, critical and driven

Gijs is characterized by his calm, critical attitude and eye for detail. Colleagues appreciate him not only for his expertise, but also for his reliability and commitment.
